Chindi Mandi | Tourist Place Himachal Pradesh

Hillsides covered with thick forests of deodar and pine and apple orchards Chindi (1825 m) is a small place having gorgeous views in every directions.

Chindi is an excellent off-beat destination that holds the charms of beauty of Himachal.The place is still not that much famous but has good facilities in terms of roads, small markets and accommodation.

This place is ideal for those who want to spend some peaceful time away from the crowd in a new and unexplored place.
The area has several temples built in traditional craftsmanship. Some of them are Ardhnarishwara, AlediMahadev, Palinag at Nalagali, the sacred Bhima Rock, Churag temple, Nag Dhamooni at Sairi Bangla, temple at Chatri and the temple of Nag Dhamooni at Saranda.

Weather and Climate

The temperature remains moderate in Summer but it gets very cold in winter.

Karsog: Karsog Valley lies below Chindi and has good excursion spots. Karsog is a small town in Mandi district

Shikari Devi: The hike to Shikari Devi (3359 m) is possible from Chindi. The views from KunhooDhar (23 Km) are spectacular.

Chindi can be reached easily from Mandi or Sunder nagar via chailchowk. By road Mandi is 100 km away Rampur via BainaKhud is 92 km.
The nearest airport is Jubbar-Hatti, 110 km away. The nearest railway station is Shimla, 87 km away.
